Talk:Marta Hillers
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Virago Press edition gives her name as Marta Hiller, not Hillers. Google gives many references for both versions. The German Wikipedia has no article on her. Does anyone know any more about this? Adam 13:57, 8 October 2006 (UTC)
- Her name is definitely Hillers. See [Eine Frau in Berlin] or [German newspaper reviews]. 212.185.161.34 11:42, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
I object to the phrase "Kurt Marek recognised its propaganda value". Since the book does a lot to humanize the Russian rapists and plunderers its propaganda value is questionable. Certainly Marek sought to profit from the book whose rights he held, but to suggest that the book is merely cold war propaganda is an inadequate estimation. 212.185.161.34 11:42, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
