Talk:Marprelate Controversy
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This subject deserves its own article. It would be a mistake to merge it with the entry on Martin Marprelate, as the controversy itself is much larger than the name of the writer with whom it is most usually associated. The article does need considerable editing. For example, the view that the Pasquil pamphlets were written by Nashe has been out of favor with leading authorities such as McKerrow, the editor of Nashe's collected works, for a full century. I'll put some work into the page -- but please, let's not merge it.
