[edit] Requested move
- Marlinspike (ropework) → Marlinspike … Rationale: Marlinspike is setup as a disambiguation page leading to Marlinspike (comics) and Marlinspike (ropework) but Marlinspike (comics) has been moved to Marlinspike Hall so there is no longer an ambiguity to resolve. … Please share your opinion at Talk:Marlinspike (ropework). —AComrade 23:48, 16 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Use as weapon?
Sailors were often known to use Marlin Spikes as weapons, especially in the age of fighting sail. They would be quite capable if used on a skull or rib cage. V. Joe 21:45, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
