"Nimrod and Kempenfelt later received QF 12 pdr (3 inch / 76 mm) 18 cwt anti aircraft guns in place of one of the QF 2 pdr."

I don't think so, although I don't have any references on these ships. THe standard RN medium AA gun at the time was designated QF 3 inch 20 cwt. Because it fired a 12.5 pound shell and is the same calibre it tends to get confused wit the QF 12 pounder. It's a totally different gun. Rcbutcher (talk) 08:08, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
