What does this article offer that marketing doesn't? It should just redirect there, just as accountant redirects to accountancy. --ZimZalaBim (talk) 00:49, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

I think there should be a separate article for "marketer" as in the company responsible for bringing a new drug or other product to market. I am not a lawyer, but I'm pretty sure that has a strict legal definition which the redirect to "marketeer" doesn't capture. Rustavo 06:12, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

The page has been updated to reflect the current use of the term 'marketeer' with some additions and deletions, and marketer is now redirected to 'marketing'.131.217.6.8 06:43, 4 May 2007 (UTC)

I fixed the link to the newsletter article, but it's a poor reference--more of a speculative definition than an authoritative one. Also WP:WINAD; there's nothing here but a definition. I'm tempted to nominate for deletion, but a redirect is good enough. N Gilliatt 21:18, 16 August 2007 (UTC)
