[edit] IJmeer & Markermeer

Where does the IJmeer end and the Markermeer begin? I've always wondered why they are considered two seperate bodies of water. Did the IJmeer exist before the IJsselmeer and then Markermeer were damned in? --Criticalthinker (talk) 10:12, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
