[edit] Boundaries
What are the boundaries of "Mark West, California"? How does this "census designated place" relate to the areas served by the Mark West Area Chamber of Commerce, such as Larkfield, Wikiup, Airport Business Center, et al.? All of these and more lie in unincorporated Sonoma County between Santa Rosa and Windsor. The others are probably better known locally than the census area.

- good questions. i dont have all the answers here, but just wanted to create a stub to get the article going. hopefully others can come forward with some of the answers. i am only working on the history part now (eg 19th century events in the Mark West area). regards. Thanks, Anlace, that's what I thought. I see there's a "census-designated place" article here, and I've added a link to it. It says "CDPs are communities that lack separate municipal government, but which otherwise resemble incorporated places such as cities or villages." Local residents might say they live in "the Mark West area", but probably are more likely to say Larkfield (a shopping center area), Wikiup (an upscale subdivision), "near the Airport", "around Mark West Springs", etc. -- Mukrkrgsj 22:00, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
