Before reverting again, please note my edit summary and visit here. The content in the newly cited source does not support the material over which there is controversy. The solution is to cite the material or modify the article to adhere only to the source. There is a considerable amount of material in the article not supported in the lone source. Just address the concerns fully and there will be no problems. CyberAnth 07:57, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

That doesn't mean you remove everything. You remove what is controversial.—Ryūlóng () 08:18, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
I evaluate dozens and sometimes up to 100 BLPs articles per day. It is the author's burden establish verifiability, not every editor concerned with BLPs that comes along. See Wikipedia:Verifiability#Burden_of_evidence.
But "it seems like something that could be true" must not be sufficient cause to re-introduce questionable material into Wikipedia, and if all that someone has time to do is nuke a bad article, the right response to those who want to restore it, is to restore it fact by fact, piece by piece, making absolutely certain that the quality is right.--Jimbo Wales 07:27, 12 December 2006 (UTC)Talk:Ron_Jeremy#WP:BLP.
It looks pretty good, now. :-) CyberAnth 08:31, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Texas A&M

According to the Wichita Eagle, Players have confirmed that Mark Turgeon is leaving Wichita State University to become the new Texas A&M Head Basketball Coach. http://www.kansas.com/277/story/40109.html 12:05AM 10 April 2007 (CST)

According to Aggieathletics.com, a press conference has been scheduled for 3:00PM 10 April 2007 (CST) to announce Texas A&M's new Head Basketball Coach. http://www.aggieathletics.com/pressRelease.php?PRID=12761 12:21AM 10 April 2007 (CST)

This article should be locked, I am reverting the changes and the fake coaching picture. Ilrosewood 18:09, 9 April 2007 (UTC) (Nothing official has been put out by either party. Right now it is just talking. Update the page without the fake picture after something is official.)

I will keep reverting changes that say he is the coach at Texas A&M until it is official. Ilrosewood 19:37, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

I once again reverted the article as of this posting. As of right now, there is still nothing OFFICIAL from either Texas A&M, Wichita State or Coach Turgeon. As of this posting, he has not even talked to his players. Use the sandbox and get a great page ready for a great coach! Until then, hold your horses (Please). Ilrosewood 03:44, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

Please do not erase the coaching record that I put in. It took a little bit of time to compile. Also, there was no reason to delete Mark Turgeons Assistant coaching jobs and his Jacksonville State experience. txaggies07 03:55, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

Please use the sandbox until there is an official announcement. If you had bothered to come to the talk page first, you would have seen that this has already been addressed. There is still nothing OFFICIAL. That fox news story you sited is nothing more than the Houston article. Just wait until 3pm tomorrow, is it that hard? Or wait until the player meeting is over at WSU. I am reverting again. Ilrosewood 03:59, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

Seriously dude...I did not add anything about Texas A&M in my last several edits. ALL I added was his coaching record. I made sure to leave Texas A&M out of all of it. Please stop reverting. I am not the person who added all the Texas A&M citings everywhere. I just added the coaching record. txaggies07 04:05, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

Can you not just use the sandbox and wait?Ilrosewood 04:07, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
Can you just stop removing good information that is not biased or have to do with any current events.txaggies07 04:09, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
Are we good now?txaggies07 04:12, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
I like what you have added. If you have a second, go back and look at some of the other revisions for today and you can see why I've been trying to protect the page. Ilrosewood 04:31, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

ILrosewood, you are breaking the 3vert rule. That article linked to in the page is pretty solid. Unless you have some credible source that proves otherwise, the page should be updated. Almost every single media outlet has confirmed that he's the new A&M coach. What more proof do you need? I think the article should reflect that he's the new A&M coach. Corpx 04:13, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

How about something official from the actual university? Look at how many almost coaching changes there have been this year alone. I'm going to bed, ruin the article all you people want. I tried to maintain some dignity here after some people put up fake pictures of him at A&M but this is a worthless battle. Ilrosewood 04:29, 10 April 2007 (UTC) (For the record, I have reverted all day long due to vandalism, so no, I didn't break any rule that I know of. Also, that foxsports article doesn't site any official sources, just like the Houston article. Turgeon still hasn't finished meeting with players as of 11:30PM CST)
There are no official sources because there is no official press release out. However, I'd like to think that news published through major media outlets are credible enough to be cited as a reference on wikipedia. Reverting cited information is not reverting vandalism. Corpx 06:18, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
Considering the Houston paper published an article before the coach had even talked to his players yet ... why is it so hard for you to wait until 3pm CST on Tuesday? (As of this morning, the players are confirming it, WSU and TAM have press conferences set, so now you have more confirmation then just a newspaper article. Remember, there were articles saying Donovan was going to UK, and had he, we wouldn't have this mess we have right now.) Since you are so excited, I'll go ahead and update it since it is actually confirmed by someone other than a reported quoting unnamed sources. [1] Ilrosewood 13:41, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Coaching Style

I've watched and listen to Coach Turgeon since he came to Wichita State at the same time I came to Wichita State. I made some notes on his coaching style so his new fans can get an idea of what to expect (Man on Man, very little zone, guard heavy play, a bit of a temper caused by a big desire to win). However, this "information" is information I've gained by watching him for 7 years and I am not sure how to "cite" that. Ilrosewood 13:42, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

Any ideas? I'm not sure how I cite something that just ... is. I watched enough games to see that when he had no choice (Foul trouble, etc) he would switch to zone. Thanks. Ilrosewood 19:11, 12 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Verify information

The coaching lineage isn't quite right for Wichita State, because Eddie Fogler left in 1993 to coach at South Carolina[2], and Wichita State hired Turgeon in 2000. Anyone have a complete coaching history for the Shockers to fix this and the coaching infobox? --fuzzy510 23:24, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

i like the cohen link... Ilrosewood 06:10, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
