Talk:Mark Parkinson

Paul Krugman, in his NY Times column of 10/2/06, states that Parkinson switched parties (Republican to Democratic) because he "got tired of the theological debate over whether Charles Darwin was right." Did Parkinson actually say this, and if so, when/where? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Noizboy (talk • contribs) 20:07, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
- Without knowing Krugman, my guess is that he is just trying to find a cute way to boil down the divide in Kansas between moderate Republicans and the religious right. In the Kansas legislature, there are effectively three parties, as the moderate Repubs seem to side as often with Democrats as they do with conservatives. (ESkog)(Talk) 20:12, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
