'Although seemingly well respected among his BBC peers, his 'predictions' on their football website often fail to justify this kudos. I deleted the following paragraph on the grounds that I can find no evidence to support its assertions and they are potentially libellous:

His career as a BBC pundit has been blighted by rumours that he spends his Friday nights cottaging in a forest close to the family home. This was denied and he was successful in his libel case against The Daily Echo. Half of the money won from this went to local cancer charities while the other half went on an expensive eternity ring for fellow commentator John Motson. The two now live together in sin.

+ Both of Mark Lawrenson's parents were born in Lancashire, he does not have Irish parents. He qualified to play for the Republic of Ireland through his maternal grandfather Tommy Cotty, who was Irish. Ribbleton 16:21, 28 March 2007 (UTC)

+ Mark Lawrenson played for Barnet Football Club in February 1989 after leaving Oxford manager position. He made 2 conference league appearences. Can we add the above details? both verified by Oxford site and Liverpool offical bio.

I've removed the Barnet info pending actual links. No mention on Liverpool site (http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/team/past_players/players/lawrenson/). Imagine Reason (talk) 04:16, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
