[edit] Recommendation for lifelong imprisonment
Mark Hobson was not the first life sentence prisoner to be recommended for lifelong imprisonment despite having admitted the crime at their trial. In 1996, Timothy Morss and Brett Tyler admitted the murder of Daniel Handley at their trial, but the judge still recommended that life should mean life.
