He also is a former 1992 Olympian and >>>winner of the World's Strongest Man competiton<<.???No hes not

qualified for the 1992 Barcelona Olympics Weightlifting Competition, where he finished tenth in the superheavyweight class.
February 23, 2002, he won the Arnold Classic "World's Strongest Man" competition in Columbus, Ohio, claiming a $75,000 Humvee as his prize.

He did in fact win the Arnold Classic Strongman contest in 2002 - see http://www.arnoldsstrongestman.com/2002%20Results.htm for the results. However, this should not be confused with the World's Strongest Man, which is a different strongman contest (this is the one broadcast annually on ESPN). Henry has never competed in the World's Strongest Man contest. He did defeat the reigning (2001) World's Strongest Man (Svend Karlsen) at the Arnold Classic, however. Henrys splash is offically known as the world strongest splash according to WWE.com. Please do not remove this. Also, i was thinking about removing Death from above since I dont remember him doing it..

His WWE.com Profile says that his move is the World's Strongest Slam. I don't know about his Vertical Splash, but I know that his finishing move, the Front Powerslam, is called the World's Strongest Slam. [[1]]

I don't like how a man who even in his heyday couldn't capture a major championship, is brought back and is instantly in contention for the World Heavyweight Title. Does anyone know why WWE has been pushing Henry recently? User:Slapslapslap

Because he has improved and shown a passion for the sport... I actually like Henry and I'm glad he has taken it upon himself to greatly inprove his in-ring abbility and mic-skills to become more that the average hoss... I agree. Vince has wasted a lot of money over the years, Henry belongs in that catergory in my opinion. I used to like him hoping he would improve, I was disappointed.(Halbared 09:02, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

The injury he caused to Batista was legit. Add in the fact that gets exhausted just walking to the ring and doesn't help add anything and you have to wonder why they extended his contract. Well if you ask me-- Henry is a good wrestler for his size, and to be honest I don't think that Batista is any bit better than him as a wrestler. Batista is just marginly better than John Cena-- so boy! (Fr3nZi3 07:02, 16 July 2006 (UTC))

LOOK AT MARK HENRY'S SIGNATURE MOVES! Count them. There's five. Doesn't that remind you of "Five Moves of Doom?" Batista has much more of a moveset than Henry and John Cena has 6 moves. I guess Mark Henry's just marginly worse than John Cena. Slapslapslap 18:46, 19 July 2006 (UTC)

Smackdown! already died after the death of Eddie Guerrero (may he rest in peace.) The fact that Smackdown! is now left with only one main eventer (Batista) is the final nail in it's coffin. Because of that they're forced to make last minute main eventers such as Booker T, Rey Mysterio, Mark Henry, and they'll probably make Great Kahli another last minute main eventer. [edit] Accomplishments

I was thinking that it might be a good idea to list how much weight he can lift with different things. I don't know if Wikipedia does that with other "Strongmen" or not but if it does then I think you should list it for Henry too. How much he can benchpress, deadlift, you know. Offhand I don't know how much weight he can lift though.

The first site that comes up on Google says something like "Mark Henry The Strongest Man That Ever Lived" and it lists how much weight he has lifted. I don't know how accurate and reliable that is though.

Good idea. Also should be mentioned, that he hold the world record for supertotal (olympic + powerlifting). Also he once held wolrd record in squatting, wich i believe if worth mentioning.

Shouldn't someone put in a trivia section whit the fact that he has never won a championship in the WWE. Now he has held the WWE European Championship but he didn't win it. [edit] Middle name, height, weight

As someone mentioned above, Mark Henry's middle name is Jerrold and not Gordon. His official website, MarkHenry.tv, even says that his middle name is Jerrold. Also, MarkHenry.tv says that he is 6'4" and not 6'1". I know that we're going by WWE.com, but in my personal opinion, he appears to be taller than 6'1". And as for his weight, they announce him at a higher weight seemingly every week. Last I heard, he was up to 410 pounds.
