Talk:Mark Allan Robinson
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Is Mark Allan Robinson, who unseated Paul Reitsma in 1998 with a recall campaign the same person as Mark Robinson, who ran in the 1998 by-election when Reitsma was elected? Should be mentioned in this article if he is. KenWalker | Talk 22:56, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

I stand by my edits. I think you guys need to grow up and let it go. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.227.221.76 (talk • contribs)
- Even if you were there and saw all of the things you describe, that doesn't mean they belong in a Wikipedia article because that would be original research which is not allowed. This is an encyclopedia. Everything in it, if challenged, is to be included only if it has a verifiable source. This is especially so because this item is about a living person. You will find an explanation here about why such edits are to be deleted immediately. See WP:BLP for more detail. There is room for everyone here, but the policies of Wikipedia must be followed for Wikipedia to work. If you need some help, just ask, there are plenty of people willing to assist you. Hmmm!
I too agree that the edits as they were should stand. It's immature and quite paritsan to remove edits simply because you don't believe them. Are you out there Mark? Maybe you could answer to this so-called "joke edit". I nominate this page for deletion. It's just turning into a silly game of mudslinging. I say let bygones be bygones.

[edit] WP:AUTO, WP:COI, WP:BLP guidelines to note
If "Mark" is indeed editing this page, he shouldn't be; see WP:AUTO; others should review the other guidelines as well. This page should not read like a resume for workopolis, OK? Or a crib sheet for press conferences/packages. Gotta ask - when was the lock put on it? Is this semi-protected or fully protected, since when and why? Skookum1 04:04, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
- The article was semi-protected because negative unsourced material in violation of Wikipedia's policy on biographies of living persons was continually being added to the article by anonymous editors. Catchpole 07:35, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
