Intrigued by the map which shows the historical path of the creek passing more or less directly underneath my house, I ventured down to UC Village today to check out the daylighted portions. It's not much to see, frankly, and being behind chain link fences the entire daylighted length, very difficult to get decent pictures. Residents of UC Village or persons with access to the UC-owned Gill Tract could probably get better pictures. The creek itself is about a foot to a foot and a half wide, stagnant or slow moving, and as you might expect for an urban stream, has accumulated a fair amount of garbage. Kind of sad really...
