[edit] Nursing homes comment
Whether someone is in a nursing home or not often has less to do with their health status than whether a family member was willing to care for them or not. Bettie Wilson lived at home until 115...with her great-granddaughter as caretaker. María Capovilla may have lived at home until the end, but she didn't leave the house for the last 2 1/2 years of life. Though I agree it is preferable to be cared for at home, it should also be noted that other persons, such as Susie Gibson, were quite sharp despite being in a nursing home. - Indeed: moreover, she even still went out dining in a restaurant at her very last birthday, so that's quite amazing really, isn't it? Extremely sexy 12:02, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
- Excellent points that you have both made here. I agree. Joseph A. Spadaro 14:15, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks, and let's hope her article won't be deleted, because that would definitely be unfair in my opinion. Extremely sexy 21:55, 13 November 2007 (UTC)
