Spanish naming customs is that the father's surname is before the mother's. She was born in Madrid, Spain, her birth certificate will say Marian Gracia Rivera, not Marian Rivera Gracia, because her father's surname is Gracia, her mother's Rivera. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.25.1.226 (talk) 01:25, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Deleting endorsements section

I don't see anything encyclopedic about listing every possible endorsements of a celebrity. I see this is as merely to satisfy fanboyism, which is strongly discouraged in Wikipedia. Hi, I don't understand why "endorser" is on her occupation list. I don't see how it is an occupation. And I also do not see why "dancer" is needed. She is going to be releasing a dance video, but how does that make her a dancer? JetLover (talk) (Report a mistake) 01:27, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

The problem is that the fanboys don't listen. If we edit the article according to Wikipedia standards, they would still revert it and publish the article how THEY want to see it (disorganized, like a fan page, putting in even the most ridiculous of data). There is absolutely NO NEED to replace free-use photos of Marian Rivera, as we can used BOTH photos in the article (i.e. Reese Witherspoon). However, a photo of her uploaded by User:Mhtsw has questionable license tag and should be resolved as soon as possible. Starczamora (talk) 01:35, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
