[edit] Adoptive

In my opinion the couple bringing her up should not be called "adoptive parents" because first of all they were the poeple kidnapping Maria Eugenia Sampallo before raising her and second because Maria Eugenia Sampallo, the victim of the crime that they got sentenced for, asked the press not to call them "adoptive parents": http://www.elperiodico.com/default.asp?idpublicacio_PK=46&idioma=CAS&idnoticia_PK=497807&idseccio_PK=1007 states "María Eugenia pidió a la prensa que no llame "padres adoptivos" a los que se apropiaron de ella."

My English is not that good so could someone else correct this?

Any ideas? I believe the BBC called them this in the ref I have given, I'll certainly think about this. Thanks, SqueakBox 17:42, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
I have reworked this to say something slightly different, ie that these 2 people legally adopted her without calling them parents. Thanks, SqueakBox 18:02, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for the change, yes the BBC uses the term "adoptive parents". I changed it again "slightly", I made "illegally" out of "legally",as the BBC article states at the beginning "An Argentine couple have been jailed for illegally adopting a baby girl". Also this wikipedia article calls it "illegal" in the top part. User987654321 21:31, 6 April 2008
