As you're probably aware, in their infinite wisdom the Roman naming system lends itself to many famous Romans having the same name throughout generations. This can be quite confusing!

I was looking for Marcus Claudius Marcellus, consul of the Roman Republic in 51 BC. In my quest I ran into Marcus Claudius Marcellus, nephew of Octavian; and Marcus Claudius Marcellus, commander during the second Punic War (this current page).

A disambiguity page needs to be set up but I don't have the time, and more importantly, the expertise is setting one up. I'm taking baby steps in my editting evolution. Could someone from the WikiProject Disambiguation group please look at this? --ScottieB 00:53, 7 May 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for bringing this up at WikiProject Disambiguation. It turns out that since there are only two articles, only disambiguation links are needed at the top of either article, referring to the other article. WP:Disambiguation#Top links has more information if you're interested. Since there was already a link on this page, I added a similar link to Marcus Claudius Marcellus (Julio-Claudian dynasty), and everything should be all set. Let me know if you have any other questions! -- Natalya 02:02, 7 May 2006 (UTC)
