[edit] Ron Hudson
I don't follow cycling, so I have no idea of the answer, but several times someone has added that Marco Rullo is also known as Ron Hudson. I googled that, and http://www.athleit.com/ron-hudson/ seems to support it, as does http://www.beckybroeder.missingsaddle.com/2006/12/ (about halfway down). I wouldn't call either of those "reliable sources," though - does anyone know the story here? Is this person aka Ron Hudson? --TheOtherBob 17:09, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
- I found a lot more pages (none of much greater reliability, though) in which this claim is made; I found no page denying it. --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 21:35, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

- look...I AM marco rullo. i know whether i have any aliases. i also know that i have never been on the teams i have deleted, so stop changing MY changes. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 66.171.217.173 (talk) 03:24, February 2, 2007
- I'm afraid that an anonymous editor claiming to be the subject of an article can't therefore do whatever he likes to the article. Even if you are Rullo, our policies and guidelines, especially WP:CITE, still apply to you (and our general preference that people don't edit articles on themselves stands). --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 12:10, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

- i don't have any interest in this article (its existence, that is), however, sice i am the subject i do have an interest in its accuracy. there has been a lot of demeaning "contributions" (see history) and innacuracies. that is not acceptable. i didi not create this page, but i will not have slanderous or falsified records attributed or associated with my person. furthermore, perhaps you should check with the UCI or USAC cycling as they are a bit more reliable than your other sources. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 66.171.217.173 (talk) 16:12, February 2, 2007
- Indeed it has - but the people you're talking to here are the ones who've continually reverted it to keep the anonymous IP vandalism out. Taking on good faith that you are who you say you are, can you help us clear up the Ron Hudson question? Have you ever been named Ron Hudson, called or referred to as Ron Hudson, etc. Has your given, legal, professional, or any other name ever been Ron Hudson? (And, if not, can you shed any light on why the websites listed above seem to think that you're also known as Ron Hudson?) --TheOtherBob 16:57, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

- yes. my name was legally changed (reverted actually to my birth name) from "ron hudson" due to the fact that i was adopted earlier in life. however(if anything), it should read "previously known as" rather than "aka"; since it has been over 5 years, and i have never since that time used the previous name. as to the teams, i have never been on the KB Home team (although i did "guest ride" for them once), and the same goes for Monex. in regard to the Rock & Republic team, i AM NOT on this team (which is[incidentally] not based out of Marina del Rey, CA). please be well aware that postings such as these are viewed by visitors to this page as (albeit, incorrectly so) assertions made by me, marco rullo, and i can suffer severe reprecussions to my career as a direct result. i did not create this page, nor have i ever added to it, however, i will continue to delete erroneous additions for my own welfare. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 66.171.217.173 (talk) 21:17, February 2, 2007

- We still have no evidence that you are in fact Rullo.
- You have given us no verificable source for your claims.
- No-one with any sense would think that you wrote this article, any more than they'd think that napoleon wrote the article on himself.
- If you continue to delete information without giving sources, you'll be blocked from editing. It would be much better if you tried to understand Wikipedia's rules, policies, and guidelines. --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 23:23, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

- what proof can i give?...except that why in the world would i be wasting my time in this dialogue unless i have a vested (read: personal) itterest in its veracity? or perhaps i am bearing reprecussions on account of its content? to wit; i have (over the past several months) had to explain to several parties how and/or why certain items have appeared on "my" page. it stands to reason that napoleon did not write his own article (given the fact that he is dead), however, a number of people are not enlightened enough to discern that i (being very much alive) am not the author of the article bearing my name. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 66.171.217.173 (talk) 02:26, February 3, 2007

Ok - made a best effort edit in response to some citations. I cut the one team that was uncited -- though if anyone thinks we should put it back with a "citation needed" tag, feel free. I also cut the claim that Rullo was not on (or "fired" from) one team...but I think we may need a "citation needed" tag about that team as well, so I'll go back and add one. I gave credit to the citations that cited "Ron Hudson" victories, because one of them was a story about a win that is also already listed in the article -- so it seems credible that Rullo won that race while riding as Hudson, and that he was therefore on the team cited. That seems sufficient to me, but feel free to revert. --TheOtherBob 16:38, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
agreed that the citation is not controversial. however, the accompanying editorial (since removed) was rehashing a speculative area that seems to have been resolved. nontheless, seems that you edited prudently. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.22.127.245 (talk) 04:14, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
