Talk:Marco Pantani

A good article, if somewhat hagiographic. There is nothing on the drugs scandal in the 1998 Tour de France that Pantani won. This would seem to be of some relevance to the subject. Rollo

The above was blanked from this talk page, I'm not sure why. If it is no longer true, then it should have an answer saying something like "I've fixed this" or "seems to be better now", so that people (not least the person who posted the original comment) can see the outcome. Blank (as opposed to non-existent) discussion pages make me nervous, because I like to see what has previously been discussed. - IMSoP 14:38, 22 Apr 2005 (UTC)

[edit] ok

Ok mister IMSop, didn't mean to make anything bad, just wanted to clear a very old comment that was no more actual. But you may be true, I am quite new here so I'm sorry if I did something bad. So let's say the problem is now fixed because I inserted stuff about 1998 doping scandal. --Jmcmegamega 11:58, 23 Apr 2005 (UTC)

I've added a link to main Tour de France entry article about doping scandals as a way of expanding the info. – Ricadus 02:04, 30 December 2005 (UTC)

Are you sure? If so, is google wrong? http://www.google.com/search?q=1.72m+in+in

1.72 meters = 67.7165354 in

68in == 5'8" right? AHands 7 July 2005 22:42 (UTC)

Yes it is, 5 times 12 = 60. Therefore 5'8" = 68 Mathmo 17:39, 16 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Images from other wikipedias

I was wondering how could we use images from other wikipedias: http://he.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D7%AA%D7%9E%D7%95%D7%A0%D7%94:Pantani_briancon_2000_2.jpg http://lb.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Marco_Pantani.jpg if I use: Image:Marco Pantani.jpg It doesn't work. I thought it was possible to use images from other wikipedias. Should these images be in wikimedia to be able to share it with other wikipedias?-Drunt 11:55, 7 September 2007 (UTC)

We can only use them on all projects if they are on Wikimedia Commons and this is a key reason we should try to put free images there rather than on Wikipedia servers. I would add them to Commons myself, but with both I am unable to find the source information: either it's not there or the language barrier is preventing me from finding it. If you can find the source information and permissions there is no reason why they shouldn't be at Commons. SeveroTC 12:40, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
Then we better wait. A shame that there is no image of the Pirate riding or at least showing his face... Drunt 12:50, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
