Talk:Marcinkiewicz interpolation theorem
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Could someone be kind enough to help with the pronunciation of Marcinkiewicz?
Here in chicago people seem to pronounce it Mar-sin-kay-vich.
I have no idea how to change the title of an article but the theorem I believe is generally known as the "Marcinkiewicz Interpolation Theorem". It seems a better title to me. Thenub314 17:04, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
- That's the name I usually hear too. So, I made the move. (unless I am confusing it with something else). The note on the pronunciation, I think, should be put on the article of the mathematician Marcinkiewicz. This way we don't have to put the same note in every article whose title containing the name Marcinkiewicz. -- Taku 10:36, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
