Hopefully this "talk" page will be a place for positive dialog and suggestions to improve the main article. Not being an experienced "Wikipedian" I don't know what the "rules" are in terms of debate on the issue covered in the article.
And for anyone not familiar with this book, or Marc Stevens, you can visit his website but also there is a very active community forum found at: http://thereisnostate.proboards39.com/ (registration required -- once inside you will get an even better idea on the applicability of the "AiLL" type of perspective on things -- politics, the "law", "patriotism", etc.) Feel free to join us! :) 199.214.27.11 16:56, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

About the Author Marc Stevens calls himself a "voluntaryist" is the author of the book and website "Adventures in Legal Land", and the host of a weekly radio show "The No State Project" discussing news and issues related to the law, courts, and personal liberty, with a particular interest in considering free-market alternatives to government-provided services. Previous to getting his own show, Stevens had conducted interviews as guests on dozens of well known radio broadcasts, most of which can be found archived on his website. Marc's perspective is that the very concept of government is based on numerous dishonest and misleading labels and presumptions that amount to a complex public relations scheme. He has invited government supporters (including newsworthy politicians, lawyers, judges, reporters) to talk with him on his radio show, stating that he wishes to focus only on "facts, not opinions" (he continues to observe that most of those invited have initially accepted, only to cancel at the last moment). Marc Steven has also acted as a legal consultant in various traffic and tax cases, but now primarily offers seminars discussing the concepts covered in his book, including role playing among partipicants. Marc Stevens has also written a number of controversial articles, published and widely distributed on the Internet, many of which are found at his blog, or on the prominent libertarian website "Strike The Root". Marc's "No State Project" is aired weekly on the Republic Broadcasting Network.
- Firstly, the author shouldn't be on the same page as this book, since it seems he has enough on his page to merit a seperate article
- His perspective is terribly POV and has no refs to back it up
- Controversial articles needs examples
- This entire section needs a re-write to fit with the formal tone expected of an encyclopedia
- The synopsis also needs a look at, as of now it offers zero information to the reader. Also, the question that it boils down to, is that from the book or the contributers viewpoint?
Will get to this as soon as I can, all editors comments or ideas about how to improve the article would be greatly appreciated. Cheers! xC | ☎ 05:25, 27 March 2007 (UTC)

- I apologize, it's based on the dozens of radio show interviews he did over the years, and from the articles he has written recently. Hard to give "refs" other than to say "based on the interviews/articles..." any help is appreciated. :) 199.214.24.30 22:42, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
