Talk:Marc Lalonde

Even if it is true, this addition by User:70.72.176.167 is rather non-neutrally stated:
- When the Liberals returned to power in the 1980 election, Lalonde became Minister of Energy and instituted the National Energy Policy which became intensely unpopular in Alberta, as it resulted in thousands of Albertans loosing their wealth and a large increase in suicide rates in the province.
I've modified it to state merely that the NEP adversely affected the Alberta oil industry. Also, I wish people would learn the difference between "losing" and "loosing". --Saforrest 23:26, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
