the "adopted" comment serves no purpose. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.6.30.197 (talk) 22:09, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
It's not a huge deal to me, it just seems odd that in the "Controversies" section, it says that Marc Dann told the reporter to "perform an anatomically impossible act." This could technically be a request for him to lick his elbow, rather than the more disrespectful "go fuck yourself." I changed it and included a source, but it got reverted because it was "unconstructive." Yet the anatomically impossible line seems silly and vague, so why leave it? 76.188.128.104 (talk) 21:09, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
- The fact is that the encyclopedia is constantly getting bombarded with schoolkids and the like who think it's funny to stick swear words into articles. When an actual quote like this comes along, it tends to get swept up with the rest of the trash. You're right that it should stay in there since Wikipedia is not censored. —Ashanda (talk) 00:32, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
