Talk:Marc Breedlove
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I'm Marc Breedlove and I did not endorse this Wiki-page. Apparently someone else created it (Ed Poor?) to promote a book I do not agree with by quoting something from a book that was said to be taking my quote from a book (how many degrees of truth is that?) I found out about the page Feb 2, 2007.
There were so many things that were just flat wrong that whoever created the page must also be an unreliable scholar. (I've never had a faculty position at UCLA, I was a faculty member at UC Berkeley, my Rosenberg chair is at Michigan State, not UCLA, etc.)
I will, reluctantly, fix the entry. I saw no reason why I should have an entry in Wikipedia (I am much less important to our culture than, say, Elvis, even though he's been dead for years), but if there's going to be one I will try to make sure it is both factually correct and that any representation of my views actually are my views, not someone else's.
If other people try to hijack the page and distort my views, I will use the Wiki measures, up to arbitration, until they stop such dishonest and inaccurate posts. This means, among other things, that I will delete any links to pages that distort my views.
Cheers, Marc
