[edit] Page merge

I think it would be unwise to merge the articles Dance Marathon and Marathon Dancing. Dance Marathon is a distinct student-run organization with very defined goals. The actual "marathon-dancing" portion of the event is only a fraction of the many events the organization executes throughout the year. Furthermore, the name Dance Marathon is a distinct non-profit organization name. It's a type of branding, and to take that away would be taking away a part of the non-profit's identity. Merging the articles would make it more difficult for users to navigate through the information pertaining specifically to Dance Marathon as a distinct entity. Thank you.

Yes, I agree, the titles seem like duplicates, but one is very different from another. I'm removing the merge suggestion from this article. I don't see how these two distinct pages relate closely enough to be merged. --Jackson 01:03, 24 September 2007 (UTC)

Someone, with more knowledge about dance marathons than me, needs to tackle this article anew and make it so it differs much more from the article "Dance Marathons" by Renee Camus. Anqet137 (talk) 01:54, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
