Maryland United FC is an American soccer team founded in 2003. The team is a member of the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL), the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid, and will make their debut in the Mid-Atlantic Division in 2008.

Maryland United was formed in 2003 by Cyprian Khumalo with the assistance of Jmaes Mwombela. They participated in the Washington International Soccer League from 2003 to 2005. Majority of the founding players where former professional players and college players. One player Elvis Mnyamuru was an active member of the Tanzania National team. In its 1st season Maryland United defeated Aegean Hawks 6-5 in the finals of the Dent Professor Cup. They also lost in the semi final of the Terril Cup in 2005. Apart from outdoor soccer they played indoor soccer under the Premier Arena Soccer League in 2007. Maryland United won 2 league championships in WISL , 2 in the Germantown 7 aside, 2 at the Rockville Soccer Plex. In 2006 they lost in the quarter finals during the National Indoor Championships in Ohio. Elvis Mnyamuru is the best player to ever to play for Maryland United and is also the all time goal scorer with 77 goals. Some of the original players include Bobby Michael, Elvis Mnyamuru, Cyprian Khumalo, James Mwombela, Kheri Yahya and David Mboss.
