Maryland Route 390 is the continuation of 16th Street in Silver Spring, Maryland beyond the city limits of Washington, D.C. from Blair Circle on the Maryland-D.C. line (where Maryland Route 384 also begins) north to Georgia Avenue. Route 390 is slightly more than a mile in length.
A divided highway for its entire length , Route 390 is on the western edge of downtown Silver Spring and is sometimes used as a bypass of busier Georgia Avenue and Colesville Road for commuters travelling to or from Washington, D.C..
