Maryland Route 290 is a state highway in the U.S. state of Maryland. It runs from Maryland Route 300 in Dudley Corners, Queen Anne's County north to Maryland Route 299 in Sassafras, Kent County.

Maryland Route 290 heads north from Maryland Route 300 in Dudley Corners Road. It features an interchange with U.S. Route 301 not far north of the southern terminus. It then heads north and intersects Maryland Route 544 and then crosses the Chester River into Kent County.

Upon entering Kent County, Maryland Route 290 shares a brief concurrency with Maryland Route 291. It then turns north on Chesterville Road and heads for the town of Galena. Just south of Galena, Maryland Route 290 intersects Maryland Route 313. It continues north and intersects Maryland Route 213 in the center of Galena. At the intersection with Maryland Route 213. Maryland Route 290 turns east of Galena Sassafras Road. It features another interchange with U.S. Route 301 before ending at Maryland Route 299 in Sassafras.
