Maryland Route 287 , also known as Sandtown Road, is a state highway in Caroline County, Maryland. It runs from Maryland Route 313 in Goldsboro east to the Delaware border, where it becomes Delaware Route 10. It is used as an access route into Delaware from northern Caroline County, Maryland by commuters and shoppers bound for Dover, Delaware. Just over two miles, it passes over the origin of the Choptank River, which is little more than a ditch at that point but widens into a very accessible river by the time it meanders to Cambridge, Maryland.
