Maryland Route 286 is a road in Cecil County, Maryland running along the south bank of the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal from the Delaware border into Chesapeake City.

Starting at the Delaware border, Maryland 286 is called Bethel Road heading west. As it enters Chesapeake City, it becomes 2nd Street. Maryland 286 ends at Maryland 537 (George Street), which was U.S. Route 213 before the bridge across the canal was destroyed in 1942.
Across the Delaware border, Delaware Route 286 is called Bethel Church Road.
