Maryland Route 273 crosses northern Cecil County, Maryland from the Delaware state line to U.S. Route 1 where it begins to turn north towards Pennsylvania.

Maryland 273 continues Delaware Route 273 from the state line as Telegraph Road. It proceeds west across the county, changing its name to Main Street within the town of Rising Sun and then Rising Sun Road west of the town.
