Maryam Mohdanova Tashaeva (Chechen: Марем Мохдановна Ташаева) (born June 12, 1959 in Valerik, Chechnya) is a Chechen pop singer. Her daughter Hava Tashaeva is also a popular Chechen pop singer.

Maryam was born to Chechen parents in the village of Valerik in the Achkhoy-Martanovsky District of Chechnya. She graduated from the Grozny College of Arts, specializing in chorus singing and conducting.
When she started her singing career in 1980, Maryam faced stiff competition from other prominent Chechen singers, but through hard work won over her critics.
During the first year of the First Chechen War Maryam managed to save two babies in a cold basement.[1]
Maryam has been recognized as the People's Artist of Chechnya and Ingushetia.
