Mary Wriothesley, Countess of Southampton

Mary Wriothesley (née Browne), Countess of Southampton (22 July 1552 – 4 November 1607), was born in Cowdray, Sussex, England to Anthony Browne, 1st Viscount Montagu and Lady Jane Radcliffe. Mary was married three times first to Henry Wriothesley, 2nd Earl of Southampton son of Thomas Wriothesley, 1st Earl of Southampton and Jane Cheney. Mary and Henry had two children:
- Henry Wriothesley, 3rd Earl of Southampton (October 6, 1573 – November 10, 1624) married Elizabeth Vernon
- Lady Mary Wriothesley (b. abt. 1563 – buried 27 June 1607) married Thomas Arundell, 1st Baron Arundell of Wardour
Nearly fifteen years after Henry's death on 4 October 1581 Mary married a second time to Thomas Heneage in 1594/1595. He died within a year. She again married a third time to William Hervey.
