Mary Shepard

Mary Shepard (1909 - 2000) was an English illustrator, most well known for her illustrations of P. L. Travers' Mary Poppins.

She was the daughter of E. H. Shepard, also an illustrator of children's literature including the works of A. A. Milne (Winnie-the-Pooh) and Kenneth Grahame (The Wind in the Willows).

She married E. V. Knox, father of Penelope Fitzgerald.
