Mary Layton (born: 19 November 1967, in Lexington, North Carolina USA) is a contemporary artist creating watercolour, pen & ink, coloured pencil, and digital artwork mostly in the fantasy genre. Her subjects range from fairies to goddesses to witches, although she has been known to create the occasional portrait or landscape when the mood strikes. Much of her art is influenced by Art Nouveau, but forays into realism occur often, especially in her portraiture and landscape work. Her artwork can be found in the homes of private collectors throughout the United States and Europe, as well as online in virtual galleries such as Epilogue and DeviantArt.
