Mary Gorman lives in Bridge of Weir and also Marbella with her husband Chris and 4 children.
She has had a varied corporate career, mainly in mobile communications. She also embarked on an entrepreneurial venture to form an internet services company called Reality. Mary was highly influential in the development of this business, taking the role of Managing Director until the company was bought by home shopping giant GUS in 2000. Since then, she has continued to support new entrepreneurial ventures on a consultancy basis alongside her small property development company, developing projects throughout the West of Scotland.
Mary is best known for her talents as a writer and she is also a tireless advocate for a number of charities. She is a founder committee member for NCH Scotland’s ‘Women of Influence’ annual awards. As a previous chair of the committee and active fund raiser, Mary is an official ambassador for NCH across the country. Mary also supports Action Medical Research's 'Touching Tiny Lives' Campaign for research into premature birth.
