Mary Comfort Leonard (January 22, 1856 – August 4, 1940) was born in Kosciusko, Mississippi. She is known primarily for being one of the three founders of the Delta Gamma Fraternity.
She was one of 13 children. After initial education, she went to The Lewis School in Oxford for three years. Here, she met Charles H. Leonard, a student at the University of Mississippi.
