Mary Cadogan

Mary Cadogan born in Kent.

She is an author of many books on Children's fiction including Just William and Billy Bunter and a biographer.

Writing in many magazines on history of children's fiction.

Richmal Crompton Lamburn (November 15, 1890–January 11, 1969) was a British writer, most famous for her Just William humorous short stories. Mary Cadogan whilst working for the costume department at the BBC in the 1930s she first met Richmal Crompton. She met her again whilst working as a relief nurse.

She was editor of the Just William Society magazine but had to resign due to professional commitments

She remained editor of Story Paper Collectors' Digest was a journal published from November 1946 until May 2005.Mary was editor since 1987. Contributors included Roger Jenkins, Gerald Allison, Breeze Bentley, Jim Cook, Jack Wood, Laurie Sutton, Josie and Len Packman, Bob Whiter, Jack Overhill, Bill Lofts plus many, many more.

She was interviewed for Gyles Brandreth programme on the centenary of Billy Bunter that was broadcast on Radio 4 in February 2008.
