Mary Burrus Williams (b. September 5 in Outer Banks, North Carolina, United States) helps her sister Dixie Burrus Browning, to document herself to write historical novels under the pen name Bronwyn Williams.
She also is the daughter of the deceased baseball player Maurice Lennon "Dick" Burrus.

Mary Burrus was born in Outer Banks, North Carolina, where his family had lived for generations, to sea captain Dozier Burrus and Achsah Williams. His the daughter of Maurice Lennon "Dick" Burrus that was a professional baseball player. She has two sisters, Dixie Burrus Browning and Sarah Burrus,
Mary married with Mr. Williams an Official Coastguard, now pensioner, and they went away to live to Cape May, New Jersey.
Mary, enjoyed reading novels Romance Harlequin, and a day was them her sister Dixie. Dixie decided to participate to an aid of that type of novels, although to write was not as simple as she believed. Dixie began to publish contemporany novels as Zoe Dozier, and later with her married name, Dixie Browning.
Mary loves historical romantic novels, and she asked to him her sister so why she did not write them. Dixie explained that it required long time of investigation, and that she did not have time. Mary, offered herself to investigate, and to even contribute ideas, if Dixie wrote historical novels.
In 1988, was published the first book as Bronwyn Williams (combination of their married names).
