Martyn Alexander Corrigan (born 14 August 1977 in Glasgow) is a Scottish professional footballer currently playing for Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premier League.
He joined Motherwell from Falkirk in 2000, after having only re-joined Falkirk a few weeks earlier. Naturally a right back, Corrigan can play as a centre back or in midfield.
In season 2002-03 he played all but the final 30 minutes of the last game of the season against Livingston. Corrigan signed a new contract in 2006 which would keep him at the club until 2010, granting him a testimonial during this time.
With the arrival of Mark McGhee as manager he saw himself slip down the pecking order and after a loan spell at Dundee in late 2007, he moved to Kilmarnock on 5 January 2008. He was released by the club and made his debut for Kilmarnock later that day against Hearts.
Commenting on the move, Corrigan said[citation needed]:
"It's been a really, really difficult decision to make, especially in light of what has happened at the club in the last week." "I must let it be known that the deal was tied up long before the tragic events and I have tried to delay it as long as possible purely out of respect for the O'Donnell family." "It's with a heavy heart that I leave, but I hope people understand that at my age, I really need first-team football and I need to play every week. The club will always hold a special place in my heart."
