Marty Sheargold

Martin "Marty" Sheargold (born 19th June 1972) is an Australian stand-up comedian and radio broadcaster.

Sheargold went to school at Daramalan College in Canberra.

He is best known for his role on the Triple M radio show The Shebang with Fifi Box, with his frequent awkward silences used for comedic effect. He has a tendency to keep his personal life very private, choosing to reveal little about what it is he does when not on the radio with co-host, Fifi.

His first job in radio was replacing Greg Fleet on a breakfast radio show in Adelaide.

Sheargold has appeared in Australian TV comedy productions such as The Mick Molloy Show (1999) where he appeared on the "Bob's Scrapbook" segment. He was also seen on Russell Gilbert Live (2000) and Russell Gilbert Was Here! (2001), and as host, creator and writer on Hahn Ice Headliners (1997-98) on The Comedy Channel.

In 2003, Marty revealed his acting talent, making brief appearances in Bad Eggs, The Forest and in Welcher & Welcher as 'The Courier'.

In 2007, Sheargold is co-hosting The Shebang in the breakfast slot on Triple M Sydney with Fifi Box.
