Martins is a common surname in the Portuguese language, namely in Portugal,Brazil and Goa as well as Cape Verde, and in other languages. It was originally a patronymic, meaning Son of Martim (English: Martin). Its Spanish equivalent is Martinez. It is a name associated with a great number of different people:
