Martina Cole

Martina Cole (born in 1958, Essex, England) is an English author, and as of 2006 has released thirteen novels about London's crime underworld. Two of her novels, Dangerous Lady and The Jump, have both been adapted into a television drama. She has achieved worldwide sales of over 3 million, and her tenth novel, The Know, spent seven weeks on The Sunday Times's hardback bestsellers list.

Most of her novels feature a female protagonist or antihero, and many take place within the Irish community in and around London.
