At the age of 17, after an enduring conflict with the dutch national coach he decided to move to Austria, to join the Austrian national team. In the following years he had his greatest prosperities, participating in world championships [1], major grand prix tournaments[2] and winning the national men’s doubles title twice.[3] [4]
Unfortunately, the enfant terrible got hit by a severe achilles tendon injury in 2004. [5] [6] Surgery was followed by a two years lasting recovery, but without any improvement. In 2006 he decided to quit playing badminton at a professional level.
Currently he finished his studies at Vienna medical school [7]and works in the Netherlands.
