Martin 'Jock' Wallace MG, born in Tamworth, New South Wales, was a member of 152 Signals Squadron and served as a signaler for the SASR, the Australian Special Air Service Regiment. He was awarded the Medal for Gallantry for his efforts during Operation Anaconda while attached to the United States 10th Mountain Division in the Shahi Kot Valley, Afghanistan on the 2nd of March 2002.
