Martin W. Kellogg

Martin W Kellogg is an American portrait painter born ~1906-8 in Hartford area of Connecticut. He lived in West Hartford and Bloomfield, CT as well as Nashville, Tennessee during his working career. As a young man he had lived in the Boston area. He painted a portrait of the sister of Efrem Zimbalist, Jr as a young women but would not sell it to her parents as he didn't want the picture "out there." Among other portraits, he painted John Hill who was president of Aetna Insurance in Hartford in the 1960s, Frank L Boyden, headmaster of Deerfield Academy (MA)(1902 - 1968) and Wallace W Robbins, Minister of the First Unitarian Church in Worcester, MA from 1956-1975. He married Earlene (? last name)(year) and has a son Gregory S Kellogg. Martin still lives in Tennessee.
