Martin Teal, was a character on the American television show Cheers, portrayed by Alex Nevil. Teal was an executive at the fictional Lillian Corporation, and spent most of his time on Cheers pursuing his unrequited affection for Rebecca Howe.

Teal and Rebecca first met on an elevator in their corporate offices where he hit on her and she rebuffed him, not knowing he was the executive she was to have a meeting with. Later when she realizes who he is, she grudgingly agrees to a date with the dimunitive executive who subsequently asks her to marry him.

Oddly enough, his behavior towards her would be classified as sexual harassment. However, as a corporate climber who made numerous sexual advances on her superiors (such as Evan Drake and Robin Colcord), Rebecca would not file such charges.
