Martin Roddy

Martin Roddy (died 8 January 1948) was an Irish Cumann na nGaedhael / Fine Gael politician. He was first elected as a Cumann na nGaedhael TD in the by-election held on 11 March 1925 for the constituency of Leitrim-Sligo. He was re-elected at each subsequent general election in June 1927, September 1927, 1932 and 1933 and was elected as a Fine Gael TD for the new Sligo constituency in the 1937 general election. He lost his seat in the 1938 general election, but re-gained it in 1943 general election. He died while still in office in 1948.
He served as Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Fisheries in 1927 and as Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Land & Fisheries from 1927–1932.
