Martin Reilly

Martin Reilly was born (December 16th 1979) and raised in Whitestone, New York. He began playing the accordion at age 8 and went on to tour with many renowned groups including Riverdance, the Eileen Ivers Band, Cherish the Ladies, Lewis Nash, Peter Washington and The Aoife Clancy's Band. As a member of the Green Fields of America, he also traveled throughout the United States with Mick Moloney and Robbie O'Connell. He has become a luminary of Irish Music in America carrying on the tradition.

Martin recorded a CD with his sister Marie, a phenomenal fiddler, in 2002. It was a self-produced CD for which Mick Moloney wrote extensive linear notes regarding one of the most critically acclaimed accordion/fiddle duet albums ever to be recorded in the US.

Martin has performed in Carnegie Hall and has guested on many recordings including He attended New York University and focused his thesis on the European Union. He is currently a financial advisor at Merrill Lynch in New York City.
